Lawrence creates and analyzes surveys about a wide range of technologies, with recent projects dealing with DataOps, cloud-native architecture and open source economics. Lawrence Hecht Consulting is the umbrella title for colloboration with his customers.
Lawrence is responsible for research at The New Stack, a new media company providing explanation and analysis of at-scale application development, deployment and management. In this capacity he has been the research director for over 15 ebooks and written 250+ articles.
Lawrence has produced analysis and reports about enterprise IT B2B markets for the last 17 years. He previously managed “voice of the customer” surveys for TheInfoPro and 451 Research (now part of S&P Global Market Intelligence). During Web 1.0, Lawrence created the Internet Public Policy Network, a network of subject-matter experts offering customer research, white papers and advice about technology-related issues. Lawrence earned a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University and Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University.
In addition, to managing original research projects, Lawrence works with writers to identify data to develop actionable insights based on primary and secondary research. He also consults with companies to create content for thought leadership and peer evangelism programs.
