For the last nine months I have been writing an occasional column for Parity Check, an occasional column for The New Stack. The goal is to examine various surveys and studies on the IT industry in order distill deeper truths and debunk unsupported assumptions. The title is a play on the phrase “reality check.” In technology terms a parity check detects a communications error by counting ones and zeros per byte.
I started writing the column because sharing snarky, unstructured tweets or blog comments is usually unproductive. If you ever want an outlet to discuss IT data research, please send me a note.
