What Performance Problem?

Finding the root cause of a performance problem is a time suck, but is it truly a pain point that you need to buy more software to resolve? We can’t answer that question, but a new report from DZone indicates that general challenges with performance monitoring may be abating. The percentage of respondents that haven’t had to resolve a software performance problem in the last three months has increased from 19 percent in 2016 to 28 percent in the latest survey. Furthermore, there has been a drop in the percentage of people frequently experiencing performance problems with their application code, memory and network. Perhaps vendor innovation in the last year has resulted in happier customers. Maybe there are fewer but more complex challenges. What do you think?
