LAWRENCE'S SHORT BIO

I moved to New York City after the Internet bubble crashed and the September 11th terrorist attacks. I'm in charge of editorial and production at an innovative market research firm called TheInfoPro.

I began my career by researching political opponents and legislation for the New Jersey Democrats. In 1997, I moved to Washington, D.C. and obtained a Masters of Public Policy from Georgetown University. While in school, I developed www.ecommerce.gov for the Secretary of Commerce. Next, I started working for small consulting companies that specialized in corporate public affairs and writing reports on social and economic issues. I provided the consulting companies’ clients with results like $130,000 in successful grant applications and an economic study that was mentioned in state regulatory filings, U.S. Senate testimony, and the New York Times.

From 1999-2001, I've created and managed the Internet Public Policy Network (IPPN), a company that connected organizations to the government officials, business leaders, and advocates that influence the Internet world. IPPN operated a speaker’s bureau, sold a directory and provided research on industries and policies associated with electronic commerce, telecommunications, and community technology.

The above bio is only part of my story. I'm funny, smart, and caring. I like to attend panel discussions, lectures, or something else I found through an events calendar. I write about these activities this blog. Other hobbies include browsing libraries, people watching, and carousing with friends. I watch BookTV, the news, and listen to non-radical news talk. I'm uninhibited and curious. What else do you want to know?
